Description:

Mozart’s fugues in E flat (K153) and in G minor (K154) were fragmentary works written for piano, although they are more commonly played on the organ. The original keys have been retained in these flexible arrangements for three saxophones.

The preferred line-up is ATB. However, alternative parts are included for soprano, alto and bass saxophones allowing for the following combinations:

STB, SAB, SABs, ATB, ATBs, AAB, AABs.

The bass part is an alternative to the baritone part and is written in the upper register of the instrument – providing a rare opportunity for this uncommon saxophone to explore the expressive quality of the top of its range.

The E-Edition PDF bundle comes with the following parts:

Standard parts
Alto Saxophone 1 (alternative to Soprano Saxophone)
Tenor Saxophone (alternative to Alto Saxophone 2)
Baritone Saxophone (alternative to Bass Saxophone)

Alternative parts
Soprano Saxophone (alternative to Alto Saxophone 1)
Alto Saxophone 2 (alternative to Tenor Saxophone)
Bass Saxophone (alternative to Baritone Saxophone)

“Two Fugues” is also available in hard-copy from June Emerson Wind Music.
